Shotam reports: VRNOW, Ukraine’s first VR simulator for the rehabilitation of military personnel and civilians with amputations and mobility impairments, has won the Global Impact Award at the World Economic Forum.
The system helps reduce phantom pain and restore mobility and neuromuscular control. Thanks to Virtual Limb Mode, patients can “see” and “control” their lost limbs. The simulator is already being used in several rehabilitation centers, two children’s hospitals, and at Okhmatdyt, where more than 500 patients have undergone rehabilitation.
Advin Global plans to integrate VRNOW into state protocols, expand its functionality, and enter the international market.
