AIN.UA tells the story of the creation of VRNOW, a rehabilitation simulator from Advin that helps people with amputated limbs and musculoskeletal injuries. The project was launched in 2022 as a social initiative and has already received certification from the Ministry of Health.
VRNOW combines a VR headset, trackers, and software with four virtual environments (gym, exercise rooms, kitchen, occupational therapy) and a unique Virtual Limb Mode that reduces phantom pain. The first simulator has been installed in Dnipro, with plans for over 100 installations in rehabilitation centers across Ukraine.
The Advin team has invested over €128,000 of its own funds, brought in 11 specialists, and tested the system on over 50 patients. In 2024, new VR locations are planned to be launched: a river, a garden, and a store.
