The publication Rubrika tells about VRNOW, the first Ukrainian VR simulator that helps wounded soldiers recover and reduces phantom pain after amputations. The technology combines a VR headset, sensors, and special software with unique virtual environments, ranging from a gym to a kitchen for occupational therapy. A separate Virtual Limb Mode creates a virtual limb, helping the brain reduce phantom pain.
In January 2025, VRNOW’s development received the prestigious Global Impact Award at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
