Our VR rehabilitation technology, VRNOW, has been granted a patent in Germany. Entering the German market is an important step toward integrating Ukrainian medical innovations into international clinical practice. This is part of our long-term IP strategy for developing MedTech solutions.
“Obtaining a patent in Germany is a significant milestone for VRNOW and a confirmation of our technology’s maturity. We focus on creating clinically validated solutions that can be integrated into healthcare systems in various countries,” notes Artem Chigirinsky, co-founder of VRNOW Lab.
And it is symbolic that this very week, the VRNOW team was working in Germany—at the University Hospital Essen (AöR), one of the country’s largest university medical institutions. There, we gave a presentation of the technology to specialists from the research department, pediatric rehabilitation, physical therapy, and pain management.
The clinic’s team tested VRNOW themselves, and after the meeting, we agreed on the next steps for our collaboration. Once the EU certification process is complete, there’s a good chance that Ukrainian technology could be integrated into their departments as early as next year.
